I thought that wedding dress shopping was going to be a lot of fun. It was the activity that I think I was most excited about after I got engaged. It was not that fun in actuality. My friend Liz had a really great experience at David's Bridal, and I thought that my shopping trip would be like hers, but my consultant was too busy for me and was also helping someone else at the same time, it was busy season. She kept bringing me things that I didn't like or I didn't want that style or really cheap things and it was just awful, I felt so overwhelmed and just unhappy.
I had a much better experience at a local boutique but still had a hard time even finding a dress I liked until my second time because I didn't realize what style I wanted.
I do not like fit and flare type dresses on me or dresses that pouf out to high up, I like ballgowns that flare out right after natural waist. My advice for dress shopping is to look at a lot of magazines before hand and try on a few different styles to find out what you like on yourself then go from there.
here are some pictures of dresses I tried and didn't like...

Carnival Sensation Cruise
This will be the last time I talk about a cruise, specifically, in this blog for a while at least, but I thought I would bring up my cruise on the Carnival Sensation because there is something special about your first cruise.
I went on this cruise March 2010, and I went with my 3 friends, Liz, Wendy, and Karen. Liz and I decided to drive down to Port Canaveral, and Wendy and Karen flew. We stayed at a Country Inn and Suites, that had a really good package for parking and cruising shuttle. This was our first cruise so we really had no idea what to expect. This was going to be a 4 day cruise which is the shortest cruise I've ever been on, but it was a good cruise to begin with because you could find out if you liked being on a cruise ship. This cruise went to Freeport and Nassau Bahamas. This inside of the ship was decorated kind of flashy and a little more neon than some of the other cruise ships I've been on but it was fun at the same time.
Our first stop was Freeport Bahamas. Which if you haven't been to before is kind of a more industrial island. We did go to Garden of the Groves which was a nice excursion but it was really the only worth it excursion to me besides going to the beach. It was really pretty though. Then during the same excursion we were taken to a shopping center where we had a nice coconut drink and did some walking around.
We then went back to the ship, and had a nice formal night which we all got to dress up for, we like dressing up so this was a really nice time for us.
Our next stop for excursion was Atlantis which we had a really great time at, and I will do a full post on just Atlantis soon.

We went parasailing there! The day we got off the ship Wendy and Karen went to Kennedy Space Center, and Liz and I headed back to Orlando to relax, we ate at Bahama Breeze and it was really rainy. We then checked into our hotel, and took a nap. We then got ready to go out at night to Universal Studios City Walk and Bubba Gump Restaurant which is always a good time.
We went to Disneys animal kingdom, which I hadn't been to since I was a kid.It was really cold and rained all day. :( Oh well
we made the best of it.
Liz and I then drove to Atlanta and the next day we went to the Georgia Aquarium, which had whale sharks which I had always really wanted to see.
here's some more photos!
